PMSMA evokes good response among beneficiaries in East Jogendranagar UPHC

The East Jogendranagar Urban PHC conducted PMSMA (Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritwa Abhiyan), a flagship programme of  the Union government  to care and check-up of pregnant woman, at its OPD Clinic under supervision of Chief Medical officer (CMO) of West Tripura district on Saturday.

During the programme, eminent Gynaecologist of Agartala city Dr. Narayan Chandra Paul attended the clinic with support from all the staff of this UPHC.

The whole programme consisted of various components like antenatal check-up of pregnant women, essential pathological investigation for pregnant women, diagnosis of high risk pregnancy, maintenance of record, distribution of medication including IFA tablets and calcium tablets.

A total  of 89 pregnant women attended and all of them were subjected to medical check-up  and  all the beneficiaries were gifted with nutritious food item packs consisting of milk, Soya bean and fruits. Dr. Sujit Bhowmik, MOIC of the UPHC expressed his satisfaction over the footfalls and thanked everyone from staff to beneficiaries and ASHA workers for making the programme a grand success. He revealed that the same programme will be held on January 9th, 2023 next and appealed to all pregnant women to receive such services every month.
